How to make an electrochemical-based chemical sensor

This talk will introduce the basic concept of using electrochemical principles for chemical sensing in solutions, it will discuss some of the early innovations in the field from pH and oxygen sensing, highlighting the drawbacks too, and move on to discuss where the challenges lie with current sensing technology, considering for example advances in the development of low cost materials, materials that are robust enough to function in challenging environments such as within (or on) the body, amongst others.
