Welcome to the Department of Chemistry at Colorado State University. Assistant Professor Joseph Zadrozny receives Trailblazer R21 Award

Assistant Professor Joseph Zadrozny was awarded the Trailblazer R21 Award. This award provides an opportunity for New and Early Stage Investigators to pursue research programs of high interest to the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB).

Jean Chung, Ph.D. to join faculty in January 2019

The Department of Chemistry is excited to announce that Jean Chung, Ph.D. will be joining Colorado State University in January 2019 to continue her independent career as an Assistant Professor in Chemistry.

Chemistry graduate student receives Joseph Breen Memorial Fellowship

Bonnie Buss, Ph.D. student in the Miyake Research Group, was awarded the Joseph Breen Memorial Fellowship from the American Chemical Society.

Professor Amy Prieto commercializes a safer, more customizable battery

Chemistry Professor Amy Prieto has patented novel battery materials and a unique manufacturing process that together revamp decades-old lithium-ion technology. Her lithium-ion battery, built on a foundation of electroplated copper foam, is more flexible, safer, less expensive, and more environmentally friendly than batteries currently on the market.
