Bernstein awarded the 2016 Colorado Section ACS Research Award

bernstein_2011Elliot Bernstein has recently been awarded the 2016 Colorado Section Research Award from the Colorado Section of the American Chemical Society (COACS).

This award is the highest honor that the Colorado American Chemical Society Section can bestow on any chemist and is awarded in celebration of the cumulative accomplishments that Prof. Bernstein has acquired over his entire career.  The Section Award, started in 1967, is given annually to a Colorado chemist with an extensive and impactful career in chemistry. Previous winners include many of the most distinguished chemists that have worked in Colorado including members of the National Academy of Science and many national award winners.

Bernstein will present an award lecture this fall, where he will also be honored with a engraved medallion and $1000 honorarium.
