Matt Medeiros graduates with his Ph.D. and leaves to post doc with Prof. John Porco at the Center for Chemical Methodology and Library Development at Boston University.  Congratulations Matt! 
W6 welcomes Chris Schneider from the Georg group at University of Kansas and Eeshwar Begari from the Mohan group at Illinois Wesleyan University.  Chris and Eesh will be working as joint post docs with the Wood group and the Kurosu Group.

October 2009  
W6 welcomes new undergraduate researcher, Jordan Flatt, to the group.
“Spirolactone syntheses through a rhodium-catalyzed intramolecular C–H insertion reaction: model studies towards the synthesis of syringolides” has been published in Tetrahedron Letters.  Check out the link: Tetrahedron Letters 2009, 50, 6450.

September 2009  
“Progress Toward the Total Synthesis of (±)-Actinophyllic Acid” was published in Organic Letters.  Check out the link: Organic Letters 2009, 11, 4532.
