Colorado State University - Women in Chemistry was founded to address the needs and concerns of women in science. The group is supported by the local ACS chapter and individual contributions. They are involved in:
National Organizations Society for Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science SACNAS encourages Chicano/Latino and Native American students to pursue graduate education and obtain the advanced degrees necessary for research careers and science teaching professions at all levels. Each year, SACNAS holds a scientific meeting for undergraduate and graduate students in the sciences and holds career development workshops for students and faculty alike. The National Organization of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers The mission of NOBCChE is to build an eminent community of scientists and engineers by increasing the number of minorities in these fields. NOBCChE achieves its mission through diverse programs designed to foster professional development and encourage students to pursue careers in science and technical fields.
