Description:About the Seminar:\n\nAtmospheric aerosols are a large source o
f uncertainty in modern climate models. There are direct and indirect ways
in which aerosols impact climate. The removal of aerosols to Earth\\'s su
rface depends on meteorological conditions\, properties of the aerosol\, a
nd properties of the surface. Reducing uncertainty around anthropogenic c
limate change requires understanding the processes which remove aerosols f
rom our atmosphere\, dry deposition is one process.  Models which descri
be dry deposition of aerosols seldom agree with available measurements. Ad
ditionally\, measurements of aerosol dry deposition are lacking over many
landscape types on Earth. 4:00 pm
