 ts\, and trademarks? Are you curious about what lies behind the velvet cur
 tain of the Tech Transfer office and how new inventions are evaluated? Int
 erested in examples of things that have worked\, and things that didn’t?
  We’ll talk about different types of intellectual property\, the evaluat
 ion criteria for innovations\, why technology transfer exists\, and how it
  is utilized to help maximize research impact and opportunities.\n\n&nbsp\
 ;\n\nAbout the Speaker: \n\nAly joined CSU STRATA in 2022 as a Licensing 
 Associate\, working with innovations in the physical sciences portfolio. S
 he has an interdisciplinary research background focused on geoscience\, na
 noparticles\, and material characterization. Before joining the team\, she
  was part of the technology transfer team at Auburn University. Aly holds 
 a B.S. in Geology from SUNY Brockport\, a M.S. in Geology from Miami Unive
 rsity\, and a Ph.D. in Geoscience from Virginia Tech. 4:00 pm
