Description:About the seminar:\n\nPhotonic crystals (PCs) with structural c
olor leverage nanoscale periodicity to produce tunable and pigment-free op
tical effects with applications in sensing\, coatings\, and optical encryp
tion. By eliminating the need for traditional dyes or pigments\, these mat
erials offer a more sustainable approach to color generation. However\, ac
hieving structural color across the full visible spectrum using block copo
lymer (BCP) PCs remains a significant challenge due to the limited tunabil
ity of self-assembled periodicities. This seminar introduces a practical s
trategy for creating BCP PC inks with fully tunable structural colors acro
ss the visible spectrum using solution blending and selective swelling\, w
hich enable precise nanoscale control over domain size.  4:00 pm
