Description:About the Seminar:\n\nToday\, more than ever the University env
 ironment is becoming an increasingly diverse space for students\, faculty 
 and staff to navigate. Understanding the components of DEI is essential in
  engaging this ever changing social environment. This session allows for p
 articipants to gain a deeper understanding of DEI by understanding how we 
 individually and collectively create the environments that bring about bel
 onging.\n\nAbout the Speaker:\n\nPatrice M. Palmer (they/them/their pronou
 ns) calls the Sea Islands of South Carolina and Detroit\, Michigan home. P
 atrice is the inaugural Assistant Dean and the Director of Justice\, Equit
 y\, Diversity\, and Inclusion Initiatives for the College of Business at C
 olorado State University. In 2022 Patrice was named one of 10 United State
 s Top Voices in Racial Equity by Linkedin. As a doctoral student in the Sc
 hool of Education at Baylor University\, Patrice\\'s research centers incl
 usionary work cultures and systems level leadership praxis. Through teachi
 ng and curriculum design Patrice is a sought-after DEI expert that has bee
 n featured on numerous podcasts\, panels and lecture series promoting the
