Description:The Nature Research portfolio includes the flagship Nature titl
 e\, the physical and life sciences research journals\, such as Nature Chem
 istry\, and the open-access titles including the newly launched Communicat
 ions Chemistry. During the first part of the talk Andrew will discuss the 
 different aims and scopes of the various Nature titles as well as the rela
 tionship between them. The second part of the talk will focus on the edito
 rial process\, which is common to all the journals. He will clarify the ro
 le of the editor in the process\, discussing\, for example\, how reviewers
  are selected and how editors approach decisions. He will also offer advic
 e on preparing manuscripts and correspondence for submission and publicati
