 uyama in a class by himself.  He received his B.S. Degree in Chemistry fr
 om Nagoya University in 1971\, and a Master\\'s Degree in Organic Chemistr
 y from Nagoya University in 1973.  He attended Harvard University and wit
 h his mentor Prof. Yoshito Kishi\, he received his Ph.D. in 1977.  In 201
 2\, he moved to Nagoya University as Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences 
 and is currently the \"Designated Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences.\n\
