Description:Literature Seminar\n\nDysregulation of cerebral blood flow is r
elated to several diseases in humans\, including\nAlzheimer’s disease\,
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)\, and Parkinson’s disease. Fluoresce
nce\ncorrelation spectroscopy (FCS)\, a technique commonly used to measure
diffusion of fluorescent\nmolecules in solution\, is able to measure flow
velocity of blood in mouse brain vessels. Fluorescent\nnanoparticles were
used to image cerebral vessels and measure blood flow velocities in those
vessels.\nFlow velocities were measured with sub-vessel resolution and ch
anged in response to mouse heart rate\nmodulation.\n\nZoom Link 4:30 pm
