 transfer radical polymerization (O-ATRP) is a method for producing well de
 fined polymers under mild\, metal-free conditions through the use of organ
 ic photoredox catalysis. Since the introduction of O-ATRP in 2014\, much o
 f the work in this field has focused on advancing this methodology through
  the development of new photoredox catalysts. However\, a deeper mechanist
 ic understanding is necessary for the continued development of this method
 . In this talk\, recent efforts to study the mechanism of O-ATRP are prese
 nted\, which have resulted in the identification of new side reactions\, t
 he isolation of key reaction intermediates\, and the development of novel 
 approaches to controlling polymer growth during O-ATRP.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nJoin
