Description:Literature Seminar Abstract\n\nMixed-lanthanide metal-organic f
rameworks (M’LnMOFs) have received wide attention for their use as highl
y sensitive ratiometric luminescent thermometers. Their high resolutions a
nd non-invasiveness have made them strong candidates for applications such
as intracellular sensing and thermal mapping. Unfortunately\, materials a
nd techniques for sensing in the physiological temperature range (298-318
 K) or higher are still rare. Cadiau et\, al. were able to design and synth
esize the first ratiometric thermometer in the physiological temperature r
ange. However\, higher sensitivity and more accurate sensing in this tempe
rature region are of urgent interest. In this study\, a more sensitive and
accurate M’LnMOF was synthesized by incorporating a new ligand and diff
erent ratios of lanthanide ions. The emission intensity data as a function
of temperature showed that a more sensitive and accurate thermometer was
created. In their report\, a guide has been provided for designing M’LnM
OFs thermometers with fast response times and high sensitivities in the ph
 ysiological temperature region. 4:00 pm
