Description:Research Seminar\n\nGold nanoclusters have unique properties an
 d solvable structures which allows for interesting investigations into 
 the origins of their properties for various applications from a core prosp
 ective and a ligand prospective. With superatomic orbitals\, they present 
 new avenues to different chemistry including orbitals that are not seenÂ
  in other materials. Within this study\, the electronic structure and m
 agnetism of larger gold nanoclusters is probed in different oxidations s
 tates. Since ligands can also be exchanged and altered\, ligand effects ar
 e also probed in the investigation of supramolecular assemblies and the
