Description:Event Overview: \n\nMulti-angle light scattering (MALS) remains
a critical tool for characterization of polymers. In combination with sep
aration by size-exclusion chromatography (SEC)\, MALS enables determinatio
n of molar mass distributions without relying on reference standards\, mak
ing it invaluable for the analysis of polymers for which such standards do
not exist\, including novel homopolymers\, block copolymers\, and polymer
s with complex topologies. Adding in-line viscometry can reveal valuable i
nformation about conformation and branching with appropriate analysis. Thi
s event will review the theory behind MALS and viscometry and how to apply
the theory practically to polymer analysis.\n\nPresenter Information: \n\
nPresenter name and title: Parker Lee Ph.D.\, Southwest Regional Manager\n
\nBio:  Parker Lee joined Wyatt Technology in 2022 and works to ensure cu
stomer success.  As a regional manager\, he is responsible for working wi
th customers to ensure that they can utilize Wyatt’s light scattering in
strumentation most effectively to improve and accelerate their research.
He earned his B.S. in Biological Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech a
nd his Ph.D. in Macromolecular Science and Engineering from Case Western U
niversity. He lives in San Diego with his wife\, his son\, two dogs\, two
