Elle York

Elle York was selected as an Outstanding Graduate Coordinator and was formally recognized at the Graduate Coordinator Appreciation Breakfast on Wednesday, April 22. She was nominated and selected in recognition of her exceptional work as Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Chemistry. This honor reflects the strong appreciation and respect she has earned from those she supports.

Professor Jeff Bandar, one of York’s nominators, said, “Elle is a true professional who students and faculty alike enjoy working with. She oversees and organizes the intense graduate application and review process each year, which also includes our in-person recruiting weekends that bring 30-60 students to campus at a time. Visiting students always mention how much they appreciate her quick communication and being a friendly and informative resource.  We are lucky to have Elle on our team and as an outstanding representative of our department!”

Elle York said in response to winning the award, “I’m incredibly honored for the nomination and to receive this award! I’m grateful for the opportunity to step into the Grad Coordinator role this past year and am very appreciative of the students and faculty for all their support!”
