The Department of Chemistry offers several opportunities for students to get involved at the college level and interact with other students, faculty, and staff. Some of the most useful knowledge you will learn in college comes from outside of the classroom. The Department of Chemistry offers student groups for both undergraduate and graduate level students. Both offer extracurricular clubs and activities that can give leadership experience and the chance to meet new people!

CSU CHEM CLUB

The Colorado State University Chemistry Club is an ACS affiliate chapter dedicated to expanding chemical knowledge and scientific experience in our community. We provide both hands-on and hands-off demonstrations for all school age groups, and we take an active stance in improving and benefiting our department. This is accomplished by our fantastic Outreach department, giving demonstrations for grade school students both at Colorado State University and at their school, in addition to giving college students demonstrations.

CGSO

The Chemistry Graduate Student Organization strives to involve graduate students in a professional capacity in the Chemistry Department at Colorado State University. The objective is to give graduate students the chance to have a more collective voice in the department. This organization is a focal point for students to plan professional development and departmental activities, develop outreach opportunities within the department, and to be more actively involved in events and activities within the department.
