Professor Robert Paton has won an Early Career Faculty Excellence in Teaching and/or Mentoring (Pre-Tenure) award. Kristin Berthold was recognized on November 18 with Dean’s Recognition Award. The entire department appreciates there commitment to excellence in the work they do. Professors Megan Willis and Carlos Olivo also received nominations by the department for CNS awards. 

The purpose of this award is to offer public recognition to superior teachers and mentors in our college and to focus attention on our commitment to excellence in education. Paton says, “I’ve been fortunate to work with amazing graduate students at CSU. Thanks to Eugene [Chen] for the nomination this year, and also to Ravi [A.R. Ravishankara], who supported my application in previous years.” Paton was awarded on November 18 at the Fall 2024 Professor Laureate Lecture and Teaching & Mentoring Awards Ceremony.
