
On Monday, November 10, Professors Megan Hill and Harmony Tucker were awarded 2025 Teaching and Mentoring Awards at the CNS Professor Laureate lecture and the Teaching and Mentoring Awards Ceremony. Professor Hill was awarded an Early Career (pre-tenure) Faculty Excellence in Teaching and/or Mentoring Award. Professor Tucker was awarded a Faculty Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching and/or Mentoring Award.
The purpose of these awards is to offer public recognition to superior teachers and mentors in the College of Natural Sciences at Colorado State University and to focus attention on the college’s commitment to excellence in education.
The awards recognize various types of contributions made by faculty to the teaching mission of the College and University. Professors Hill and Tucker both showed consistent and substantial record of involvement in their teaching and impact on their students. They demonstrated high quality of teaching and mentoring through curriculum development, improved teaching methods, and research programs.
