About
Professor Robinson teaches in the areas of general, analytical, and environmental chemistry and is passionate about chemical education. Her current work centers on strategies that engage students in the learning process, rather than passively listening to lectures. She has contributed curricular materials to the Analytical Sciences Digital Library and led workshops promoting student-centered pedagogies in analytical chemistry. Professor Robinson also integrates authentic laboratory projects into her courses through the Course-Based Undergraduate Research Experiences (CUREs) model. Recent projects include the self-assembly and characterization of liposomes for use as antibiotics and the analysis of potentially counterfeit medications collected from low-income countries. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, and watching collegiate sports.
