About the Seminar:
Are you curious about what it is like to have a career at a primarily undergraduate institution (PUI)? Are you curious about the balance of teaching and research PUs? Do you wonder what a week in the life of a faculty member at a PUI is like? Do you want to know more about the range of different PUI institutions? Would you like hints about the process of applying for positions at PUIs? Do you wonder about strategies for success in early years at a PUI? Bridget Gourley, Dean of the Faculty, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and Professor of Chemistry at DePauw University, a four year private liberal arts PUI and a visiting scholar in Nancy Levinger’s group, has some prepared slides to share and then open it up for informal discussion and conversation about PUIs.
Snacks will be provided. All are welcome.
Reach out to Prof. Gourley at bgourley@depauw.edu with questions.
