Message from the recruiters:
This is an opportunity with your students who are in their final year of their PhDs and are interested in a career in the pharmaceutical industry.  Liam and I are planning a trip to CSU to recruit for Tolmar’s Scientific Leadership Development Program (SLDP), which we are currently a part of. Tolmar is a local pharmaceutical company located in Northern Colorado (Fort Collins and Windsor), specializing in extended-release injections in a variety of areas including urology, oncology and endocrinology. This program would allow recent PhD and PharmD students to develop leadership skills and broaden their understanding of pharmaceutical development by participating in a two-year rotational program. In this unique program, the recent graduates will have the opportunity to gain experience in multiple areas of development including formulation, analytical, early stage, clinical, process and device engineering, and electives before placement into a group that best fit the graduates’ skills, interests, and ability. We are hoping to fill this role in the spring/summer of 2026 and are actively recruiting PhD and PharmD students who will be graduating this year. In particular, we are interested in students who are getting their PhD in relevant scientific fields including chemistry, biochemistry, materials science and engineering, biomedical engineering, and chemical and biological engineering.
We believe CSU has wonderful local talents, as we are both recent graduates, and would love to meet with the students to tell them more about this opportunity. This event will also give students a chance to network with people from a local pharmaceutical company. We are hoping that interested PhD candidates from the Chemistry department can join us for the presentation about the SLDP program and an informal meet and greet afterwards where students can meet with Tolmar employees, including people currently in the program who have graduated from CSU. The event will be happening at the Chemistry A101 room on Tuesday, September 23rd from 4:00-5:00 P.M. Students who do not attend the event can still apply for the position.
