Professor Brittney Morgan recently received designation as a Faculty Institute of Inclusive Excellence Fellow. The Faculty Institute for Inclusive Excellence is a program aimed at educating faculty about diversity, equity, and inclusion principles through a series of workshops that culminate in a project aimed at advancing DEI work across campus.
For her final project, Brittney Morgan recorded and shared her experience as part of the inaugural leadership team of the Culture and Climate Committee in the chemistry department from an early-career faculty member perspective. Upon completing, Morgan and the other participants were awarded the designation of FIIE Fellow.
On receiving the award, Morgan says, “I feel honored to be recognized as a faculty member on campus committed to creating a culture and climate where all folks uplifted for their unique perspectives and contributions to our community.”
