On August 6-8, Associate Professor Sambur hosted the 2nd Electrochemistry Today Symposium. The symposium honors the scientific legacies of Heinz Gerischer and Achim Lewerenz, who contributed to the fundamental understanding of semiconductor electrochemistry, photoelectrochemical solar cells, and fuel generating systems. The meeting bought together chemists, physicists, engineers, and materials scientists from all over the world. The symposium served as an opportunity for scientists to learn more about electrochemistry through discussion panels, presentations, and networking. The goals of the conference focused on three vital priority areas: Building community; training, education and workforce development; and exchanging research and ideas.
