About the Seminar:

Current mass spectrometry techniques assume a clear cut border between healthy & cancerous tissues during oncological studies. However, a recent paper has shown that this border does not display homogeneity in Medulloblastoma,  instead existing as a gradient of cancer-like cells. This has not been shown using microscopy and could mean a reworking of how we use mass spectrometry to  diagnosis and study cancers. There will also be a discussion on how to further            implement the techniques to look at various other forms of cancer beyond just  medulloblastoma.
