Additional Information
Please join us on Wednesday, May 3 from 3 – 4 p.m. in Smith Natural Resources 345 for a presentation by Casey Greene entitled Lessons in Research Reproducibility: I’ll Keep on Making New Mistakes.

Greene is the founding chair of the Department of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. In 2014, he was named a Moore Investigator in Data-Driven Discovery by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.

Dr. Greene’s lab develops algorithms that integrate publicly available data to help model and understand complex biological systems. They prioritize transparency, rigor and reproducibility in developing new computational methods, and create tools that are 100% open-source and available to anyone to use and modify.
